Baked Chicken 101

"So easy a caveman can do it." Bake and enjoy!


2 cups all-purpose flour or Bisquik in a deep dish plate or pie pan (this is your coating)

Separate and generously season with salt (or garlic salt) and pepper:


5 lbs. chicken thighs (skinned or unskinned)

Coat each piece in flour or Bisquik and place side by side in a 13” x 9” pan.  Top each piece with a small pat of butter or margarine.  Put in a 350º oven for 1 hr. 15 min. or until chicken is fork tender and skin is golden brown. 


“Mushroom Chicken” mix:

2 small cans cream of mushroom soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup milk


Pour over chicken 45 minutes into the baking process.  Continue baking for another 20 minutes then add 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (sprinkle over top) and continue baking another 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.  EAT!
